Ways to Give
Behnke Preschool is a young school with an extremely low student-teacher ratio and highly qualified faculty, therefore the cost of operating is high and our needs are many. We rely on the generosity of members of our community, foundations, and corporations to provide funding beyond tuition to support our operations.
Behnke Preschool welcomes individuals and organizations who wish to partner with us in fulfilling our mission:
to provide a language-rich environment utilizing multiple learning modalities to develop speech, language, literacy and self confidence, and to educate and empower families to take an active role in promoting their child's communication development.
There are many ways to support Behnke Preschool:
Wish List: Let us make some dreams come true, please look over this list and send one or two! These are things we would love to add to our classroom but we need your help!
Volunteer: Behnke Preschool strives to use best practices in early childhood education while providing a unique environment with a focus on language and literacy. We are pleased to partner with colleges and universities in the region who send their students to Behnke Preschool for internships and training. Students who work in our classroom commit for 1-4 days/week for at least one quarter. They all complete background checks and are closely supervised by professionals at HSDC both in and out of the classroom. They also participate in a volunteer orientation where they learn about their roles, our code of conduct, diaper policies, and communication strategies used in Behnke Preschool.
Donate: You can be a key partner in helping Behnke Preschool and HSDC achieve our mission and goals. As a nonprofit organization, one third of our annual budget comes from contributions made by thoughtful friends, businesses, and community members.
Campbell's Soup Labels: Behnke Preschool and the Education Department collect Campbell's Soup Labels for Education and can use them to earn many wonderful things for our programs! Please save your labels and bring them in to HSDC or mail them!
